Profile
Mr. Wang has joined Hylands Law Firm as a partner since March 2009. Before entering Hylands, he was Senior Counsel of China Patent Agent (Hong Kong) Ltd. (CPA) from 2006 to 2008. He served as Director of Developing Countries (PCT) Division of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) from 1992 to 2005 and was President of CCPIT Patent Agency (now CCPIT Patent and Trademark Law Office) from 1990 to 1992. From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Wang was Deputy General Manager and then General Manager of China Patent Agent (Hong Kong) Ltd. (CPA). From 1965 to 1985, he worked with Legal Affair Department of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), dealing with intellectual property matters.
Mr. Wang has been Guest Professor at Peking University and Renmin University of China. He is an arbitrator at China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC). He is currently also an Advisor of China Copyright Society and member of Shanghai Intellectual Property Expert Consultative Committee.
Mr. Wang has written on a wide range of industrial property subjects. The books he has published include ¡°Trademark Fundamentals¡±, ¡°How to choose and Use Trademarks ¨C 101 Examples¡± and ¡°Patents, Trademarks, Copyright and Industrial Designs¡± etc.
