Profile
Mr. Liu practices as patent attorney in the Intellectual Property Group of the Beijing Office.
His practice focuses on patent prosecution in chemical and mechanical areas, especially involving technologies of mechanical products used in petroleum exploration and crystal chemistry. He has extensive experience in prosecuting patent applications as well as in patent re-examination and invalidation proceedings.
From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Liu worked with China National Petroleum Corporation as an engineer in drilling engineering.
Mr. Liu started his legal practice in 2001 when he joined a firm specializing in intellectual property. Mr. Liu has engaged in the prosecution of the foreign-related patent applications and patent litigations in the fields of mechanical and chemical industry.
Mr. Liu shows his strategic capabilities in dealing with the patent invalidation cases and patent litigation, and he has particular insight in analyzing effective channels for collecting evidence. 
Mr. Liu has joined Hylands Law Firm since 2004 and now Mr. Liu is a partner who is responsible for Patent Division.
